American actor Courtney Thorne Smith was born on the 8th of November, 1967. Her best-known work is her roles on Melrose Place, Alison Parker on Melrose Place, Georgia Thomas on Ally McBeal, Cheryl in According to Jim and her regular role in Two and a Half Men as Lyndsey McElroy. Thorne Smith was raised in Menlo Park in the south of San Francisco. Walter Smith was her father and Lora Thorne was her mother. Both were computer market researchers. Courtney, who was seven years old, separated from her father Walter Smith. She was a part of both of her parents at different times. Jennifer is her older sister is an ad executive. She graduated in 1985 from Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley, California. She also performed for the Ensemble Theater Company in Mill Valley as she was in high school.
